My Hot Air Balloon Flight Certificate

After the balloon ride, all the participants gathered back at Wilson Creek Winery for a traditional balloonist's champagne toast, photographs and munchies. Each person also received a certificate folder (from the balloon company, A Grape Escape) with a Polaroid photograph and some of these writings:

Balloonist's Prayer

The winds have welcomed you with softness,
the sun has blessed you
with his warm hands,
you have flown so high and well,
that God has joined you in laughter,
and set you gently back into
the loving arms of Mother Earth.

Certificate Inscription:

Let it be known from this day forth,
that you have shown extreme courage
by ascending in a

Hot Air Balloon.

Therefore, the honorary title of "aeronaut"
is bestowed upon you.

This event took place in Temecula, California
and was sealed with a traditional toast.
